 Amy Kuperinsky at NJ.com just put out a monster list of festivals in NJ. Here are some of the LBI area festivals we found on the list:

June 4-7 - Like your flicks by the Shore? The Lighthouse International Film Festival docks at Long Beach Island; lighthousefilmfestival.org

June 6 - ARRRRR. Get your tri-corner hats and eye patches in order. Tuckerton Seaport's Privateers and Pirates Festival is sailing in for a rollicking good time; tuckertonseaport.org

July 20/21 - Does Dad like a little shrimp with his brew? The Baymen's Seafood & Music Festival at Tuckerton Seaport stars shellfish and craft beer; tuckertonseaport.org

We'd also add the Hop Sauce Fest on 5/30 and there are food truck events at the Manahawkin Flea Market. And ChowderFest!

Since its inception, the Hop Sauce Festival has focused on several goals. The main idea was to create a new community-oriented event. The aim was to generate revenue during the traditionally “slow” weekend after Memorial Day, and introduce LBI to a new, forward thinking demographic that appreciates hand-crafted flavors, cutting-edge music, and microbrews, founders said.

Got to love this guy in Brian Donohue's video from the political trail in New Hampshire. The guy isn't into politics, even with Chris Christie right behind him, but he sure is into Beer and Hot Sauce. Hmm, if only there was an upcoming Craft Beer and Hot Sauce Festival on LBI for him to attend.
